About the Treatments

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) natural healthcare system is the 2nd largest medical model. Four of the foundations are Acupuncture, Nutrition, Tuina, and Qigong. It started in the East thousands of years ago and throughout the centuries it has been highly valued and actively used to maintain the health and well being of people.

TCM offers you another choice

  • Addresses the causes of diseases
  • Treats the whole person
  • A person is seen as a trinity of mind, body, soul
  • A person has an innate capacity to restore balance and heal
  • Healing comes from within
  • It is preventative in nature

“Nourish the body, mind, and soul. Flourish inner balance, calm, peace”

Acupuncture: The insertion of fine needles at acupuncture points in the meridian system of the body. Moxa (well-known for turning breech babies) and cupping is also regularly used.

Tuina: This is acupressure/massage. It is particularly wonderful for those who wish to benefit from TCM but don’t like the thought of needles. It is also used for children, who respond well. I will often teach what acupuncture points to massage so you can continue at home.

Nutrition: An essential part of TCM. Food is used to heal.

Qigong: this is the combination of movement and breath to bring change within the body. I practise medical qigong, which is prescriptive to the individual. It can reduce stress, calm and balance the body.
